SSS:                 FL.A.2.3.1 Comprehend and interpret the content of authentic, written materials, selected according to the familiarity of the topic and the scope of vocabulary and structure.

Bell work:       Take out your blue book and put it on your desk.
                                                    

Agenda:           1. Read pages 6-9 as a class (green book)
                        2. Complete exercises 2-3 (page 10)
                         3. Read page 12 as a class
                         4. Read page 14 as a class and take notes
                         5. Watch Grama vision (preterite and imperfect)
                         6. Complete exercise 11 (page 15)

Objective:        Students will be able to use the verbs ser  and estar and be able to use the subjunctive.

SSS:                 FL.A.2.2.1 Give and understand written and verbal instructions, using known, verbal patterns in the target language.

Bell work:       Bell work 1.1                                                     


Agenda:           1. Review the homework from the night before.
                         2. Read page 16 as a class and take notes
                        3. Watch Grama Vision (SER vs. ESTAR)
                        4. Complete exercise 14 B (page 17)
                        5. Read page 18 as a class and take notes
                        6. Watch Grama Vision (the subjunctive)
                        7. Complete exercise 17 on page 18

SSS:                 FL.D.2.3.3 Recognize similarities and differences between attitudes about various topics found among teenagers in American culture and attitudes among teenagers in other cultures.

Bell work:       Bell Work 1.3

Agenda:           1. Turn in the homework from the night before.
                        2. Watch Cultura Comparasiones and follow along on page 20-21
                        3. Find a partner and conduct an interview using the same questions
                        4. Present information to the class.
 


Homework:     Write 5 sentences about what you are going to do this summer.

Early Release Day

Objective:        Students will be able to read about other cultures in the target language.

SSS:                 FL.C.1.3.1 Exchange information with peers and familiar adults orally and in writing about topics of common interest and about the target culture   

Bell work:       Bell work 1.4     

Agenda:           1. Share our homework from the night before.
                        2. Review game for the quiz tomorrow. Break up into two teams for a chance to win extra points on tomorrow’s quiz.

Objective:        Students will be able to use the preterite and imperfect; ser and estar; and the subjunctive.

SSS:                 FL.A.2.2.1 Give and understand written and verbal instructions, using known, verbal patterns in the target language.   

Bell work:       Turn in this week’s class work.      

Agenda:           1. Study silently for 5-10 minutes
                        2. Take the quiz on chapter 1
                        3. Read Notas Culturales on pages 10, 13, 16, and 19 with a partner.
                        4. Write a 2 sentence summary for each one (can be written in English)
                        5. Turn in by the end of class.


       
Homework:     No homework. Enjoy the weekend!
